Brian Adcock was born at Great Yarmouth General hospital in 1967. He later went to Great Yarmouth Grammar school (later to become Great Yarmouth High.) Brian has drawn cartoons his whole life and became a professional illustrator/political cartoonist in 2000 when he started supplying cartoons for the Prague Post while living in the Czech Republic. On returning to the UK Brian continued to work for the Prague Post as well as supplying his local paper with “TILT”, an off the wall cartoon series. Shortly after that he began drawing political cartoons for Scotland on Sunday, The Scotsman and the Edinburgh Evening News. He currently works regularly for the Independent and has supplied cartoons for The Guardian, Teaching Scotland and various other publications. He has also illustrated the children's book "Cinnamon and the Bat People". He has supplied illustrations for various museums such as the Time and Tide museum in Great Yarmouth, the Ancient House museum in Thetford and the Bridewell museum in Norwich.
In 2014 he won "cartoonist of the year" at the Scottish Press Awards for the third time and "Cartoon of the year" at the Political Cartoon Society Cartoon Awards.
Brian lives in Norwich, Norfolk with various creatures.
